A journey through history

Ultra Trail Chianti Castles it is a unique route, a ring that retraces the paths that connect the Castles of Chianti Storico , starting from the capitalRadda in Chianti, it connects the two extremes of the territory, Monteluco and Monte San Michele, passing through the wonderful Chianti estates.

SEMI-AUTONOMY

Semi-autonomy is the principle according to which the athlete must be able to manage the autonomy of travel on the track with his own food and water reserves, between one assistance point and another.
To support the athletes and to guarantee their autonomy, checkpoints are provided at all refreshment points and along the route, for more details see point 10 of the regulation “CONTROL POINTS, REFUELING POINTS, GATES, LIFE BASES”

RACE PACK

Membership includes:
– Bib
– Insurance
– Technical shirt + gadget
– Briefing
– Use of changing rooms and showers

ATTENTION: GLASSES ARE NOT PROVIDED AT THE RESTAURANTS

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

For UTCC the following equipment are required:
– headlamp with charged battery, spare battery or spare lamp
– charged mobile phone, the organization’s assistance number is shown on all bibs
– personal glass (there are no glasses at the refreshment points)
– 1 L water reserve capacity
– whistle
– thermal blanket
– windproof jacket
– trail shoes

RECOMMENDED MATERIAL

We recommend:
– technical clothing suitable for the weather conditions
– money for any emergencies
– trail running / trekking poles
– suitable food reserve

Per Chianti Ultra Trail sono previsti i seguenti ristori:
– Arillo Terrabianca – km 9 Liquid
– San Polo – km 21 Solid and Liquid
– Brolio – km 36 Solid and Liquid
– Monteluco – Km 47 Solid and Liquid
– Gaiole in Chianti – km 60 Solid and Liquid
– Vistarenni – km 67 Solid and Liquid
– Castello di Albola – km 78 Solid and Liquid
– Monte San Michele – km 88 Solid and Liquid
ATTENTION: GLASSES ARE NOT PROVIDED AT THE AID STATIONS

TIME BARRIER

Ultra Trail Chianti Castles has the following gates and has a maximum travel time of 24 hours after which assistance on the route will not be guaranteed:
– km 21 – San Polo – 9:00
– km 36 – Brolio – 11:30
– km 47 – Monteluco – 13.30
– km 60 – Gaiole in Chianti – 16:30
– km 67 – Vistarenni – 18:00
– km 78 – Castle of Albola – 20:00
– km 88 – Monte San Michele – 22:00

SIGNALS

The route will be marked with warning tapes and / or reflectors perfectly visible even at night or in conditions of poor visibility. The signs will be: yellow signs with black arrows, ribbons and high visibility signs. At the junction or junction points considered misleading by the organization, they will be manned by authorized personnel who will indicate the correct direction.
AWARDS

 

All participants will receive the Finisher medal
The first 5 absolute men and women are awarded.

OVERNIGHT STAYS
