After the success of the 2021 edition, which saw 1000 athletes at the start of the 4 races, Cut 73km, CMt 42km, Chi 20km and Cst 15km, we are ready for the 2022 edition.
Many new features are planned, the new Ultra Trail of the Castles of Chianti crowns the dream of enclosing the whole history of Chianti in an Ultra Trail race course, with 4200m D + you travel along ancient paths that connect the medieval castles of the Antica. Lega del Chianti, protagonists of the warlike conflicts between Siena and Florence for the dispute over this amazing territory.
Along the way, where we already met places of absolute beauty such as Dievole, San Polo, Villa Vistarenni, Castello di Albola, San Michele, Volpaia, we add as many places of interest that increase the intrinsic value of the trip.
The castles of Ama, Lecchi, Tornano, Cacchiano, Brolio, and the Rocca di Montegrossi will take us into the past to lead us to Gaiole in Chianti and resume the 73km route to Castello di Vertine.
The dates are confirmed for March 26 and 27 with the races taking place over 2 days.
